The Halon Bank Viper utilises proven solid state technology. It can be fitted to windows, door frames, walls or ceilings and is designed to provide effective detection when fixed to wood, metal, glass, brick or concrete.

The detector has a range of up to 2.5 metres depending on the location and the type of material to which it is fixed. Each detector can be set to its own optimum level of sensitivity.

Each detector has a LED indicator which enables individual units to be identified
and tested.

Up to ten Vipers can be connected to the same circuit. When active the 'first to alarm' function ensures that the first Viper to be activated will indicate while other detectors in the system remain unaffected

As an option, Viper can incorporate a double knock facility which is designed to reduce the occurrence of false alarms. Once activated the detector will delay responding for 0.2 seconds, if it is reactivated during this time, the attack threshold is exceeded and an alarm signal transmitted.
