The automatic switching of
lights, particularly when someone approaches a building, can be a useful
deterrent to unwanted visitors as well as being convenient for welcome
ones.
Suitable for both residential and commercial premises, the Halon Bank Light
Control System is activated by movement detection and comprises three
elements, the sensor head, drive unit and an optional control unit.
The passive infra-red sensor head can have either a 17m volumetric or a
30m long range. Both heads are fully adjustable to obtain optimum
coverage. For extended coverage, up to 10 sensor heads can be connected
to a single drive unit.
The drive unit containing the power and light switching electronics is
waterproof and can be mounted either inside or out. It has a fixed 5
minute "light on" period with no user override.
For greater flexibility, a control unit can be added. This allows the
user to select walk test, permanently on/off or automatic, which
switches on lighting when the sensor is activated and ambient light
levels are low. A chime option can be selected to inform users of
approaching visitors. Adjustments can be made to daylight sensitivity
and the "light on" period. The flush or surface mounted
control unit is wired directly to the drive unit and does not require a
mains supply, allowing it to be more conveniently positioned.
Alternatively the light control system can be fully integrated with the Halon Bank
Windsor CA500 intruder alarm control unit.
