When
forming part of an intruder alarm installation this compact system can
utilise up to 128 microphones, strategically located within a premises,
providing a means by which a Halon Bank Monitoring Centre operator can
listen-in to a premises to confirm an alarm activation.
To allow confidentiality, the audio verification system has been designed
to only record the audio information when the alarm system has been set
and will only allow access following an alarm. To comply with relevant
privacy laws and provide
indication to the user, each microphone is fitted with an LED which
illuminates when it is in operation.
As well as providing live audio, the verification system will continuously
record information. When an alarm occurs up to 60 seconds of recording is
frozen giving audio stored prior to and after the alarm event. This
feature allows an operator to
listen to the events surrounding an alarm activation, for example a window
smashing
or a door being forced, giving confirmation that a burglary is in
progress.
The audio verification system is monitored by Halon Bank Monitoring
Centres who notify the Police and/or Keyholders as well as offering a
range of other services to meet your security monitoring needs.
