The
Atmosfire system provides extremely rapid detection of smoke in a wide
range of environments. It can be successfully applied to detect the
earliest stages of incipient fire in 'difficult ' environments such as
data processing areas, which usually have high airflow. It can also
provide reliable detection in dirty and dusty environments. The system is
particularly effective for use in historic buildings to provide
unobtrusive, sensitive protection.
Air is drawn into the
detector cabinet by a powerful aspirator through a system of pipes located
at strategic points within the protected area. A portion of the air sample
is passed into a sophisticated detection chamber where it is laser
analysed for smoke content. To minimise unwanted alarms from airbourne
particles, dust particles are either filtered out or ignored.
Three alarm threshold levels can be programmed to provide a staged
response to increasing smoke levels. At these levels outputs are provided
which can be used to give a local alert, through to full Central Station
call out and evacuation.
Atmosfire is designed to
satisfy BFPSA guidelines and is available with LPCB, FM and VdS approvals
(Please specify requirements).
Atmosfire may be successfully installed in a variety of applications
including computer rooms, warehouses, aircraft hangars, art galleries,
telephones exchanges etc.

Infra-Red BeamMaster-H
Smoke Detector
The Halon Bank BeamMaster-H Smoke Beam Detector consists of a wall mounted
emitter and receiver pair incorporating a near infra-red beam to detect
smoke using the light obscuration method.
