Water Extinguishers

Wood, Paper, Textiles, Fabric

Water is still one of the most useful and cost effective of all available fire extinguishers. Both Halon Bank water extinguishers have a jet type application which produces a concentrated stream enabling the operator to fight a fire from a greater distance than spray nozzle types.

Halon Bank water extinguishers achieve the standard fire rating of 13A and are available in both stored pressure and cartridge operated versions.

  • BS EN 3 Kitemark ensures continuous product excellence.

  • High-grade brass head assembly ensures reliability and optimises efficiency.

  • Coated steel levers built to withstand the hardest knocks.

  • 15 bar working pressure for maximum fire fighting performance gives greater application reach ensuring user safety. (stored pressure model)

  • Long drawn high grade steel body shell for optimum strength.

  • Polyester external coating adds extra protection to withstand extreme temperatures, dirty environments and UV degradation.

  • Polyethylene internal lining safeguards against corrosion.

  • Precision built mechanical pressure gauge provides a very accurate indication of extinguishers pressure status. (Model EW9 only)

  • High quality application hose with brass ferrules.

  • 5 year product guarantee.

  • Water extinguishers are particularly effective for cooling and penetrating the fire.

  • Jet nozzle provides longer fire fighting reach.

  • 15 bar working pressure for maximum fire fighting performance gives greater application reach ensuring user safety. (Stored pressure model)

  • Non-damaging plastic skirt.

  • Unique tamper evident safety pin with OK indicator to reduce accidental discharge.

Water is still one of the most useful of all available fire extinguishants. It works through its cooling effect on fire, and under pressure from a controllable-discharge extinguisher, can penetrate and knock out deep-seated Class A fires.

Fire ratings provide a means of measuring the effectiveness of an extinguisher in terms of the maximum size of fire that can be extinguished.

Class A rating is related to a wooden crib fire 0.5m wide x 0.56m high x length.

The rating figure is ten times the length in metres, eg. 13A uses a crib 1.3 metres long.
