The Halon Bank Sentinel is operated using the unit mounted keypad or one of three possible remote keypads located as required. Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) allow access to the system for setting and unsetting as well to test and
reset.

Sentinel offers a total of seven fully programmable detection circuits all of which can serve as night alarms, personal attack, entry/exit route, 24 hour and exit point. It is compatible with the full range of Halon Bank intruder alarm equipment and smoke detectors. There is a choice of three settings, full, part and home set. Part set allows selected areas of the building to be protected, for example perimeter areas or a single floor. For residential applications a "Home set" facility will switch the system to a "bells only" installation when the home is occupied.

Various features are programmable within the system, including the allocation of circuits for silent Personal Attack or a 24 hour alarm, with the option of duress code facility. L.E.D indicators allow circuit identification, and an internal sounder provides setting and incorrect operation warnings.
