Class F - The Risk
- According to the
latest World statistics, cooking appliance fires make up 25% of all
fires in the workplace. A large proportion of which are related to
cooking oil
- The potential hazard
of cooking oil is now deemed to be so great that under BS 7937 a
whole new fire classification was introduced in May 2000 - Class F

Solution
- Recognising these
dangers early, in 1998 Halon Bank Fire developed the World's first
Wet Chemical extinguisher, the Fry Fighter
Traditional
extinguishers cannot protect against the risks posed by vats containing
more than 3 litres of cooking oil. Only extinguishers with a class F
logo can address this risk in a safe and effective way.
