The hand-held detector is a cost effective, simple way
of screening whilst the walk-through metal detector allows a high flow
rate of people through the gate. Personal items such as coins, keys and
belt buckles can pass through the magnetic field without causing an
alarm.

X-ray screening systems scan baggage, parcels and other

Level 1: X-ray screening systems can provide fully automated explosive
detection and can be integrated into the existing baggage or parcel
handling system to screen rapidly all baggage without an operator.
Level 2: A security officer views an enhanced image of the object
rejected by the Level 1 screening process
