Halon Bank FLAIR (Fast Location Active Infra Red) is a personal attack alarm system which uses Infra Red technology.

FLAIR has been specifically designed with hospitals and other facilities in mind where
personnel may be at risk of attack. It is also ideal for any one to one interview situation where an individual may need to call for assistance.

The system consists of individual transmitters which are carried by each member of staff who may be at risk. These compact units are simply operated by removing the unit from a pocket or belt, or pulling off the optional neck chain. Thie transmitted signal is recognised by the ceiling mounted receiver which in turn sends it to the security control panel identifying the location in which the incident has taken place. Assistance can then quickly be directed to the correct area.

The use of independent transmitters allows personnel to operate freely within a 7m radius of any receiver and still be protected.

For more arduous working conditions a heavy duty belt mounted version is available and operates by either removing from the belt or by a single/dual action button press .

The system is fully self monitoring, checking for a low battery on the transmitter and tamper of the receiver either by masking or attempting to cut the wiring to the control panel.

FLAIR can be extended to cover most indoor areas where individuals are at risk. It has been designed to give peace of mind and reassurance to those who work alone in unpredictable situations.
