Advice from assurance Approved L & G Marine
L&G Marine was one
of the first marine fire safety specialists to achieve the stamp of
approval from assurance Register of Shipping and sees it as just reward for
it commitment to best practice.
Being the leading
company in its field with clients that include RNLI, P&O, MOD,
Airtours Suncruisers as well as the leading ship and boat yards, L&G
Marine officially confirmed its enviable reputation in the industry for
quality and excellence in standards gaining Lloyd’s approval last year.
Marine
Business Development Manager commented:
“Clients can have
peace of mind that a system supplied and installed by L&G Marine
will be the right type of protection for that class of vessel. Also that
it will be installed and maintained by expert professionals and will be
conversant with all current legislation so that in the event of any
incident the subsequent insurance claim will be trouble free.”
L&G Marine look
after all aspects of onboard fire fighting and safety equipment.
Visitors to the stand at D17 will be able to see the Marine Approved and
PED compliant range of Halon Bank extinguishers, and have the opportunity to
discuss the latest technologies in onboard fire fighting.
Halon-based
extinguishers need to be replaced
There is only 13 months
left to make sure you comply with the European Directive to ban the use
of Halon-based extinguishers. Many of the extinguishers on board ships
will be Halon gas based. By the end of 2003 there is a legal obligation
to have replaced all Halon-based extinguishers with more environmentally
friendly alternatives. Visitors currently using Halon as part of their
onboard fixed fire fighting equipment can call to the stand to discuss
the various fire suppression alternatives that can be supplied by L
& G Marine.
Free Fire Safety
Surveys
L & G Marine offer
free fire safety surveys for any vessel. Whatever the size and age of
your ship and however much equipment you have onboard, it is helpful to
get a second opinion, even just to put your own mind at rest. See L
& G at the Ship Repair & Conversion Exhibition 2002 to find out
more.
