A Fire
Safety Order, under the Regulatory Reform Act 2001 is due to be
published in early 2003. This will replace current fire legislation in
early 2004. The Fire Safety Order will require employers to carry out a
fire risk assessment that considers:
Safety of employees
and visitors to a site from fire
Protection of
property from fire and job security of employees
Fire fighter safety
should fire fighters have to enter a property
