Risk Assessment Consultancy

Halon Bank’s consultancy provides the total fire risk assessment solution. Serving our customers through a national network of consultants, we are able to offer a comprehensive and consistent risk assessment service. Backed by full indemnity cover, this approach helps you achieve both workplace fire safety and full compliance with the requirement of the Fire Regulations to carry out an assessment

Halon Bank view risk assessments as a partnership. Where appropriate, we will look to work with employers and employees alike to minimise the risks and ensure staff know what to do in the event of a fire. Our consultants are all ex-senior ranking Fire Officers and members of the Institute of Fire Engineers, each with an average of 25 years fire safety experience. This experience is invaluable when making recommendations that concur with those of the enforcing Fire Brigade.

Once a building’s fire risk assessment is complete, the customer will be provided with an easy to understand, personally tailored report. This will form the basis of that workplace’s on-going fire safety procedures and demonstrate compliance with the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997.”

Our work is always fully documented and certified, and it carries with it ample professional indemnity for your total peace-of-mind. Consultancy services include:

  • Fire risk assessment and management

  • Inspection and audit of premises

  • Technical advice on plans and projects

  • Liaison with Local Authorities and enforcing agencies

  • Fire investigation

  • Advice, design and specification of alarm systems.

Training services include the provision of a two-day course (for between four and 12 people) tailored to provide customers with the know-how to carry out their own fire risk assessments.

The course covers:

  • Legal requirements

  • Theoretical and practical approaches to fire risk assessment

  • The day-to-day management of fire safety

  • The practical application of Halon Bank Fire's user-friendly, 'DIY', fire risk assessment manual.
