In this
way, you can keep out thieves and vandals, but you don’t put off genuine
customers, and you do not risk false alarms calling out the police (who
may then threaten to withdraw response) or getting you or your
representative out of bed at 3am in the morning.
Halon Bank’s
Remote Video Response service
Halon Bank’s
Remote Video Response (RVR) service builds on your CCTV technology to
deliver true crime prevention.
A
combination of detectors and beams is installed to detect any movement
onto your premises. This system and your CCTV cameras are linked by a
transmission unit and a standard telephone line to Halon Bank’s 24 hour,
7 days a week Monitoring Centre.
The
RVR service then works as follows:
-
Any
detected movement triggers a message to be sent to the Monitoring
Centre
-
Trained
and supervised personnel then analyse the situation through CCTV
-
Depending
on what they see, they may use your tannoy system to address the
subjects (this is usually enough to make vandals depart)
-
They
may converse with bona fide customers over your intercom
-
In
the event of confirmed trouble, they will alert keyholders or police
-
They
retain CCTV footage for possible police evidence
The RVR
service works like a foolproof, alert, eyes-in-the-back-of-his-head
security officer, but at a tiny fraction of the cost. Deployment of the
RVR service can also reduce your insurance premium by up to 25%. And it
helps your CCTV system to comply with the Data Protection Act.
