The 1998 Health and Safety regulation : Control of Substances Hazardous to Health and the 1994 regulation : Chemicals Hazard Information Packaging for Supply and require the provision of information in respect of the chemical content of, in our case fire fighting equipment.

The information below will enable you to identify which media is contained in each Halon Bank portable extinguisher.

Carbon Dioxide
Used in 2KG and 5KG carbon dioxide extinguishers and carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system cylinders and trolley units.

Aqueous Film Forming Foam
Media used in foam extinguishers of Halon Bank manufacture irrespective of size. The information provided is in respect of the premix, that is ready to use material.

Low Freeze Additive
Can be utilised in water, hydrospray and AFFF extinguisher, the specific pack to use is identifiable by numbers and referenced to the particular extinguisher.

GPS Fire Fighting Powder
Dry powder is used in all powder extinguishers providing classes A B & C capability.

Halon 1211 BCF
Vapourising liquid used in portable extinguishers (Bromochlorodifluoromethane).

Hydrospray Premix
The hydrospray refill provides an enhanced Class A capability and is only for use in the specific extinguisher.

Fry Fighter - Wet Chemical Extinguisher
Wet chemical extinguisher used to tackle fires involving deep fat fires
