Why
install a CCTV system?
For many people the reason is to use the pictures in evidence or to see
what is going on when they are not there. The most effective way to
achieve this is to use a multiplexer connected to a video recorder.
A typical CCTV design features a Halon Bank Multiplexer, which when used
with the associated video cassette recorder, will provide an historical
record of all the cameras connected to the system. At the same time
displaying pictures as full screen images. During the day to day running
of the CCTV system the Halon Bank
Multiplexer will store full screen pictures from all of the cameras onto
the video recorder.
If you only want to see pictures of what happens while you are away from
your premises the multiplexer for you is the Halon Bank Simplex Multiplex.
This records images from all the cameras and means that on play back each
camera can be viewed independently, for maximum detail or in multiscreen
format where all of the cameras are displayed at the same time.
After an incident the operator replays the video recorder and watches the
Multiscreen display to find the best picture from those available.
Then a particular camera is selected on the Multiplexer. The Multiplexer
then displays that picture as a full screen view, for the best possible
detail.
